Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts gave his state of the state address and outlined several proposals for property tax and income tax relief.
Property Tax Relief
The governor’s budget provides $51 million in direct property tax relief through the Property Tax Credit Relief Fund and sets a statutory floor of $275 million for the fund. The governor also proposes a three percent cap on property taxes levied by local governments.
Veterans Tax Relief
