Remote Seller Tax Collection Not Yet Required in Wyoming

Wyoming  does not currently require remote sellers to license with the state and collect sales tax. However, the Department of Revenue will notify taxpayers online when it will enforce collection.

For now, remote businesses may voluntarily register with the state.

Remote Seller Registration

Remote sellers may register using:

  • the Wyoming Electronic Filing System (WYIFS); or
  • the Streamlined Sales Tax Registration system. Licenses are active until cancelled by the taxpayer.

Sales tax returns may be electronically filed using WYIFS.
