Seattle Repeals Employee Head Tax

Seattle has repealed the employee head tax that was scheduled to take effect in 2019.

Head Tax

The  tax would have been imposed at a rate of $275 per full-time employee on businesses with at least $20 million annually in taxable gross receipts. The tax would have been used to combat homelessness.
