(NEW YORK, NY, April 3, 2018)For the second year in a row, Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting is providing its TaxWise® Online 2017 software free of charge to aid in accurately preparing tax returns for members of the United States military and their dependents. Through the Internal Revenue Service’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program, the Armed Forces Tax Council runs military tax centers that include complimentary tax filing services for personnel of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Volunteer tax preparers use TaxWise Online software at military bases around the world to efficiently process returns and save military families money in tax preparation services. Last year, over 40,000 military tax returns were successfully filed using TaxWise Online software.
