Mississippi ~ Corporate Income Tax: Economic Development Project Bonds and Credit Reenacted

Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant has signed legislation reenacting statutes providing for the issuance of bonds by the Mississippi Business Finance Corporation to finance economic development projects in order to induce the location or expansion of certain businesses within Mississippi and a credit against state income taxes for debt service paid by companies under financing agreements entered into with the finance corporation, and to make other technical corrections. The bond issuance and tax credit statutes will now be repealed effective October 1, 2022 (previously October 1, 2017).
