The Massachusetts Department of Revenue has announced the fuel excise tax rates for the third quarter. The gasoline and diesel tax will remain at the current rate of 24 cents per gallon. Liquefied gases and propane will decrease to 13.2 cents (currently, 16 cents) per gallon. In addition, aircraft (jet) fuel will decrease to 6.0 cents (currently, 7.4 cents) per gallon and aviation gasoline will decrease to 19.9 cents (currently, 22.9 cents) per gallon.
