Colorado ~ Corporate, Personal Income Taxes: Low-Income Housing Credit Modified,

For corporate and personal income tax purposes, recently enacted Colorado legislation extends the number of years in which the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) may allocate low-income housing income tax credits to five years (previously, two years), ending December 31, 2019. The legislation also specifies that the aggregate amount of all credits in each calendar year of the five-year period cannot exceed $5 million dollars for credits allocated to all taxpayers, except credits allocated in 2015 and 2016 for qualified developments that are located in a county that is designated by the qualified allocation plan as having been impacted by a natural disaster.
